STAFF // SENIOR AUDIT
Location: Tinley Park, Illinois
Staff Pay Range: $49,000 to 60,000
Senior Pay Range: $61,000 to 80,000
In this position you will obtain and maintain solid client relationships,
perform a variety of professional accounting work: compiling, preparing
and maintaining financial data; ensuring that records and all financial
data are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting
principles and consistent with established policy and procedures.
Responsibilities:
§ Manage the execution of external audit engagements.
§ Supervise audit engagements of diversified accounts.
§ Research technical accounting issues.
§ Manage client accounts including billing, fee analysis and new
service development.
§ Work with Managers to help ensure the proper deployment of the
audit staff.
§ Plan and execute the day-to-day activities of audit engagements of
various clients.
§ Supervise the audit staff assigned to engagements, including
completing their performance reviews.
§ Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to
Managers and Partners.
§ Identify performance improvement opportunities Interact with
clients to help ensure that the information flow from the client to the
audit team is efficient.
Qualifications:
§ 1 to 3 years recent audit experience in a public accounting firm.
§ Demonstrated supervisory experience.
§ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited
college/university.
§ Licensed CPA or CPA eligible in the State of Illinois.
§ Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures.
§ Demonstrated experience meeting challenging client requirements
and providing exceptional client service.
§ Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research
skills.
§ Experience auditing in at least one of the following industries:
Banking, Real Estate, Construction, Insurance, Healthcare (large
hospitals, nursing homes), Colleges/Universities, Manufacturing, or Retail.
