job Descriptions:
Review areas of patient history necessary to better assess patient status and to aid in the accurate completion of lab requisitions.
Assess vital signs and assisted in gynecological and obstetrical exams and procedures.
Perform venipuncture daily.
Responsible for calculating when obstetric patients had to come in for the various ante partum tests.
Knowledge of Hospital Blood Bank protocol for ordering RHOGAM from whole blood.
Call various laboratories and radiology centers to request test reports, add on or cancel tests.
Answer phones, scheduled appointments, call in prescriptions, and pull and file charts.
Organize and maintain the exam rooms on a daily basis.
