For sale is my 2003 Suzuki TL 1000R. I will try to give as much detail as I can so that questions will be kept to a minimum. I bought my bike brand new out of the crate in March of 2004 from Naperville Motorsports. Currently I'm expecting to be a father soon, and I promised the little lady that when the baby comes...............the bike goes. As much as I love my baby tl I need to sell it. Read up because deals like this DO NOT COME OFTEN!!!!!!!!!!
Essentially this is the japanese equivalent to the Ducati 996 Supersport. And let me tell you personally that for once a motorcycle review in a magazine is correct!!!!!!!
This bike is gorgeous!. I've babied this bike since I've gotten it. Currently it has 1500 miles on it. I'm not intending on riding it anymore ( due to the plates having expired two weeks ago) It has been garage kept, and covered. Never been out in the rain, never dropped, never wheelied, in fact it hasn't been above 8000rpms' ( I was planning on keeping it for a long while so the idea was to break it in slowly) It gets waxed once a week, ( yes even in the winter) and believe me, running a finger down the paint you'll feel just that. I've cleaned it after every ride, so needless to say it's cleaner than when I bought it. NO scratches, No scuffs, No dings or dents. ( seriously it's beautiful) And per my word as a man, it's more gorgeous than when I picked her up at the dealership.
I've taken care of all of it's maintenance ( I used to be a bike mechanic) It's had 2 oil changes ( one at 500 miles and the other at 1200 ) It's forks, brakes, and chain have been adjusted as needed. ( to follow the standard breaking in process) Tires in fact have about 98% of wear left on them, so you'll not need new tires. I've gone ahead and changed the windshield ( from the original clear one to a smoke tint black one, however the old one, which is still mint, is included with the bike) Also included with the bike with the buy it now option are a suzuki team jacket which matches the bike and twas about 400.00( leather and gore tex), as well as a size medium helmet which also matches the bike, which cost me 325.00. I've also added a carbon fiber tank pad to the gas tank to avoid any scratches from a jeans buttons, or belt. Included is a Kryptonite disc lock for the front disc ( the bike itself has a fork lock, but I bought one of these as an added bonus.)
The schematics........The bank currently holds the title. I currently owe 7000.00 on the bike to the bank. ( if the loan is approved, it's yours!!!! I'm not trying to make money off of this deal, I'm just trying to fulfill a promise to my girlfriend and get out of payments so that I can start saving for the arrival of my child. and in fact if you're reading this now and you had a brain, you'd know that you're the one getting the deal, because you will never ever find a tL in this condition for this price.
